Job Functions:
- As a registered nurse (RN) you will play a critical role in providing excellent care as well as superior customer service to all resident on your unit.
- Assists the nursing leadership team in the planning, developing and overall operations of the entire facility while ensuring all residents receive quality care 24 hours a day.
- Assess resident's conditions to implement intervention and develop care plans
- Accurately document observations for residents in Point Click Care (PCC) to ensure care plans are being followed.
- Assure facility medical records, policies and procedures are adhered to
- Regularly rounding on residents both independently and with physician; observe and evaluate symptoms, progress and reactions to treatments. Implement interventions and medications as necessary.
- Provide preventative, supportive, maintenance and rehabilitative care directed to the physiological and psychosocial needs for the well-being of residents.
- Provide a variety of treatments: dressing changes, cleansing and/or irrigating wounds, perform foley catheter irrigations, IV therapy, administer tube feedings
Supervisory Role This position provides general supervision to CNAs/STNAs, including CNA/STNA retraining, counseling sessions, and implementation of disciplinary actions as necessary.
Requirements:Education, Training, and Experience:
- Must possess a current state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- CPR certification required.
- One year of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is desired (not required).
- Knowledge of applicable state nursing regulations preferred.
Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:
- Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to the practice of nursing in a long-term care setting.
- Has strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Basic computer knowledge is required
