Role Summary/Purpose The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure the highest quality standards are met. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of manufacturing techniques, tools, and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Process Development: Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to improve efficiency and quality. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Production Support: Provide day-to-day support to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Cost Reduction: Analyze manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or performance. Equipment Management: Evaluate, specify, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tools. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of existing equipment. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and production reports. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth product development and production processes. Health & Safety: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in metal forming / fabrication Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant manufacturing software. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing. Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt). Experience in Metal Forming, Assembly, Coating, Welding & Machining. Solid interpersonal and leadership skills Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
