Creative Services Intern, CBS News Boston (Summer 2025)

WBZ-TV is seeking an intern with an interest in local news and video production to join our award-winning Creative Services team. The intern will assist with a variety of projects in the areas of news promotion, community engagement, and commercial production. Ability to shoot or edit, or familiarity with a production setting is strongly encouraged. WBZ's Creative Services department manages the brand development and promotion of WBZ News, creating compelling marketing messages across our duopoly of WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV as well as our digital properties including the CBS News Boston streaming service, WBZ.com, and our social media platforms. WBZ's brand promise is to make our communities a better place to live, and we're looking for someone with a passion for local journalism and the greater Boston community.
Responsibilities:
- Our interns will get hands on production experience working on a variety of creative material.
- Learn about the news promotion and sales marketing process.
- Learn about community partnerships.
- Work closely with Writer/Producers, Editors, and Graphic designers.
- Help amplify social media posts.
- Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors, or Master's students in the fall of 2025. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
- You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June. Some roles may require you to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program.
- Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
- Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.
