Jefferies Front Office is looking for a senior developer to build and support scalable high- performance systems mainly using C# .NET, SQL Server and Kafka. The position is within a small team to support the global equity execution business. Candidates should have worked on similar platforms and been deeply involved in the build, enhancement and support of complex platforms in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to work well on a team, independently and across other global teams. Experience working in Equity or a closely related area is a plus, but the candidate should demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn quickly. They should have experience and understanding of best practice hands on software development across the technology stack.
Qualifications:
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $150,000-$225,000.
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications. Qualifications:
- Recent 7+ years of strong experience in C# .NET.
- Current experience working on any RDBMS is essential.
- Experience with a message service, Kafka preferred.
- Fix protocol experience is a big plus.
- Knowledge of PowerShell is a plus.
- Relevant experience in financial products, preferrable Equity or a closely related area.
- Recent experience in real time or near real time trading systems.
- Ability to write clean, easy to understand code.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Sound understanding of coding and development processes.
