Senior UG Transmission Line Engineer - Role & Responsibilities

• Role:

As a Senior Underground (UG) Transmission Line Engineer, you will lead projects utilizing a team of engineers and designers to provide design services for our utility clients.

• Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of underground transmission line projects with a team of engineers and designers.
  • Design complex underground transmission line systems, including duct bank design and cable pulling calculations.
  • Coordinate with cable suppliers to specify line components.
  • Oversee the development of construction specifications and drawings as required per project.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of all work products.
  • Perform site visits when necessary.
  • Provide mentoring to junior team members.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals.
  • Interface with client's engineering groups and project management teams to provide regular and timely updates.
  • Participate in the preparation of training materials.

• Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering at an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Underground Transmission Line Engineer.
  • PE License and NCEES Registration strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with applicable design codes and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
