We are looking for an experienced scrum master to oversee and guide scrum teams. The scrum master's responsibilities include ensuring that development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.

To be successful as a scrum master, you should have a firm grasp of agile practices and the ability to effectively manage and mentor development teams. An outstanding scrum master should have excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, fostering open communication and collaboration among team members.

  • Coach and Mentor Teams: Provide guidance to development teams on Agile principles and Scrum practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.

  • Remove Impediments: Identify and eliminate impediments to the team's progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient development process.

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners to understand and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

  • Promote Agile Mindset: Encourage and promote an Agile mindset throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report key Agile metrics, such as velocity and burndown charts, to monitor team progress and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles

  • Scrum Master Certification from Scaled Agile Inc., Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, IC Agile or similar. Experience working in a Scaled Agile Enterprise (SAFe) preferred.

  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills

  • Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.

  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques

  • Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of product or project development experience, or 3 years of project development experience on an Agile Team or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques

The Base Salary Range: $78,500 - 120,000, commensurate with experience.
