Sr. Art Director

The Senior Art Director is responsible for the generation and execution of creative concepts from design through finished product. He/she will work independently on assigned projects/accounts or as a member of a project team under the direction of a Creative Director. The Senior Art Director should have the skills to produce on-strategy creative and execute well-designed graphics across both print and digital, which meet the needs and objectives of our clients. This person must have well-developed tactical, design, digital, production and presentation skills. The work involves all media platforms, including:
• Digital/social communications, websites, and emails
• Marketing materials
• Press and print PR
• Photography and Video
• Presentation materials
• Logos and branding
Responsibilities
• Develop a range of creative executions for each project and effectively collaborate to ensure concepts are strategically grounded
• Maintain quality control (proper layout and conceptual execution) throughout all phases of execution
Understand the creative brief and the role it plays in creative development
• Partner with senior creative to mentor and manage junior team members
Work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Actively participate in new business development efforts
Collaborate closely with talented cross-disciplinary teams
Lead photography and video shoots, from pre- to post-production
Proactively track trends in branding, design, user experience and social media
Help to source and maintain an active list of vendor resources i.e., designers, writers, photographers, videographers and developers.
Manage projects within budgeted work scope and timelines
Skills required
- A strong portfolio showcasing strategic, conceptual thinking, visual design, and storytelling
- 5-7+ years of work experience at an agency or high-profile brand (social/digital experience is a must)
- A strong understanding of related digital disciplines such as User Experience, Content Strategy & Creation, Social Media, etc
- Overall understanding of building ideas through all channels
- Photography and video production experience
- Strong communication, collaboration and decisive problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work within tight deadlines, without compromising quality of work
- Ability to work independently (proactively), as well as part of a team
- Deep passion and understanding for the social space, social media trends, functionality, dynamics, etc.
- The ability to effectively collaborate with various teams, providing useful guidance in an enthusiastic and inspiring manner
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of motion design and related software (such as After Effects, etc.)
- Experience using WordPress CMS and front-end development knowledge (including HTML and CSS) is a strong plus
