Position Summary
Ogletree Deakins' San Francisco office has an exciting opportunity for a mid-to-senior level motivated, associate interested in handling cutting-edge labor and employment litigation matters involving a broad range of interesting, high-profile clients and topics.
Depending on the interests and experience of the candidate, the attorney will focus on defending clients in single and multi-plaintiff actions (in court and arbitration), defending employers in class and PAGA employment litigation, investigating and responding to administrative charges, and helping to advise clients on a host of employment related advice and counsel matters. This is a great position for someone who wants to develop their professional practice and legal skills in a collaborative and supportive environment by handling challenging and interesting employment matters while having direct contact with great clients and opportunities to appear in court. In addition to litigation defense work, this position provides interested candidates with opportunities to advise and counsel employers on all sorts of California based employment issues, including the provision of day-to-day advice, preparation of handbooks and employment policies, and creating and providing training to managers and employees at clients of all sizes.

Benefits
In accordance with California's amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $195,000 and $257,500. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.

Requirements
- Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in California. Candidates must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice throughout employment.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in the field of labor and employment law, preferably with a strong focus on California employment law. Civil litigation and/or trial experience is also a plus.
- Job requires excellent analytical and writing skills; strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task; passion for client service and practice development.
- Excellent academics are expected.
