Leidos QTC Health Services QTC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud environment. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and monitoring our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and compliance. The Cloud Administrator will work with core account management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, establishing secure and scalable landing zones, and leveraging services such as AWS Organizations and Control Tower to create a robust multi-account architecture.
This position is remote with a preference to candidates in EST time zone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage cloud resources and configurations using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation) to enable consistency, scalability, and automation in deployments.
- Landing Zone Management: Design and maintain secure landing zones to streamline cloud account creation, security policies, and governance.
- AWS Organizations and Control Tower: Set up and manage multi-account environments, enforce policies, and automate account provisioning using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
- Cloud Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and policy compliance.
- Troubleshooting and Monitoring: Proactively identify and resolve issues using cloud monitoring tools, logs, and alerts to maintain high availability and performance.
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, Lambda functions, VPCs, containers (ECS, EKS) and more. Ensure that infrastructure is designed for high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate with QTC Info Security team, develop and enforce AWS cloud security policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. This includes managing access controls, implementing encryption, and conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. Perform regular tests to verify the effectiveness of these strategies. Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glacier, and AWS Backup or third party backup and recovery tools required.
- Work closely with other IT teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and network engineers, to ensure seamless integration of cloud services. Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all cloud infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures. Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Monitor cloud resource usage and costs, providing regular reports and recommendations for cost optimization. Work with stakeholders to implement cost-saving measures without compromising performance or security. Knowledge of AWS Budgets, Cost Explorer or third party FinOps tools desired
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field w/ 2+ years of experience in AWS cloud technologies in an enterprise or a global organization. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 9 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch and other AWS technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Strong understanding of cloud security
- Hands-on experience with AWS CLI and SDKs/API tools
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Knowledge of agile technologies and tools
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are highly desirable
- Knowledge of ServiceNow ITIL platform and related ITSM functions highly desired
- Knowledge of AWS Well Architected framework, tools, best practices and AWS security services.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud administration and operation
- Salary Range: $111,000-$138,000 w/ 8% annual bonus eligibility
