Job Summary

The

IT PMO Manager

for Finance and Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and managing the portfolio of projects and programs within the Finance and Instructure functions. The Finance function comprises of several distinct business teams ranging from Treasury, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, Sourcing, Credit and Shared Services. The Infrastructure function comprises of several distinct IT teams ranging from Network, Telecom, Data Center, Asset Mgt, Field Service, Enterprise Architecture, Collaboration Tools and Information Security.

This role ensures alignment of program and projects for each of these 2 portfolios with business objectives, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering strategic value through effective portfolio management. This manager will be responsible for ensuring that the various business and IT teams deliver value to White Cap business partners via a comprehensive roadmap of programs & projects. This is a manager position with responsibility for forecasting resource demand, hiring/staffing resources and managing the performance of a team of 4-8 program and project managers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Portfolio Management Develop and manage the enterprise data project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business goals. Monitor and report on portfolio performance including project status, resource utilization and risk management. Prioritize and allocate resources across programs and projects to optimize outcomes and address potential conflicts or constraints. Ensures the alignment of team member skills and strengths with project demands. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership and data stakeholders to define and refine the data strategy and portfolio roadmap. Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and recommend adjustments to improve performance and value delivery. Leads the creation, implementation, maintenance, and adoption of value delivery frameworks across the enterprise. Value delivery frameworks include Waterfall, Agile or combination of the two (Hybrid). Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce governance frameworks and best practices for data project management, including compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Ensure adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and processes across the portfolio. Establishes and executes governance structure for the decisioning, prioritization and implementation of changes to continuously improve framework processes. Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and manage risks and issues within the portfolio, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed. Facilitate resolution of project-related conflicts and anticipates/manages dependencies affected by ongoing change across projects and recommends ways to mitigate future risks. Is accountable for ensuring that project, program, and portfolio management processes and methods are followed, and that portfolio financials, risks and interdependencies are identified and managed. Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including business leaders, data architects, and project managers, to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project execution and collaboration. Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse portfolio stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and business leadership. Works closely with portfolio sponsors and/or reviews boards to help determine portfolio goals. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations on portfolio strategic direction, health, status, performance metrics, and strategic insights to executive management. Communicate portfolio-related information effectively to various audiences, including project teams and stakeholders. Provide thought leadership, continuous improvement guidance on a regular cadence with high level of data quality while leveraging technology to automate reporting processes to make reporting more effective. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers and portfolio analysts, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Manage performance and employee development for the project managers. Provides mentoring, coaching, training and skills assessments related to project management competency and to other project managers throughout White Cap. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the PMO team.

Nature and Scope

Solutions require analysis and investigation. Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Management or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of portfolio management experience managing multiple medium/high complexity projects in a matrix resource environment, working with diverse project sponsors across multiple organizations. 5+ years supervisory experience of leading teams. Strong understanding of data management practices, data governance and data analytics. Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgPM) certification preferred. Proficiency in project management methodologies (ex. Agile, Waterfall) and PPM Tools (ex. MS Project, Smart Sheet, Clarity, Planview, Monday.com, Jira, etc) Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and leveraging these skills to interact with all levels of management. Exhibits transformational leadership skills with a proven track record of challenging the status quo. Resourceful self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills. Sophisticated change management capabilities, including the ability to lead and manage through change. Should be recognized as a change agent. Experience with process improvement and organizational efficiency. Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize, detail oriented. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.

Salary Range: $106,800 - 176,600
