West Coast Trans Alliance is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Downton Long Beach corporate location. Logistics Coordinator serves as the key contact for current customers for all of their import and export needs from any port or railyard in the United States. This role will also be leading the team of Logistics Coordinators in this division to achieve their weekly and monthly goals. He/She will serve as the single point of contact for key customer account interaction and discrepancy resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Professionally and effectively communicate with clients and partner carriers on an ongoing basis
Identify Customer’s needs and select appropriate service level to satisfy customer’s requests
Track and monitor the time life of all intermodal shipments in our TMS/MSS
Provide Customers with status updates including any delays on their shipment
Coordinate with warehouse on an ongoing basis; serve as a liaison between warehouse, salesperson and client to deliver maximum service
Generate quotes for specific shipment requests; provide the best logistic solution on an as needed basis
Interacts with the Sales team to ensure all specifications and timelines are being met
Manage relationships with all key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Adhere to all needs and/or special requests and/or SOP’s specific to each account
Coordinate with carriers throughout the shipping process to ensure proper delivery and level of service
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· No Logistics experience required.
· Ability to communicate thoroughly and professionally with all internal/external parties
· Ability to be highly organized/detail-oriented
· Ability to multitask, problem solve and function in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TMS system.
