Work as a key team member supporting the MDA's Command & Control (C2) system. Provide support for a complex C2 system, individual system elements, interfaces, components, devices, and processes. Coordinate with multiple government leads and other contractors within the MDA with a focus on development and deployment of all C2BMC systems, missile defense sensors (radar and OPIR), along with current and future space system increments.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Directly support the senior government test engineer. Conduct research, provide detailed analysis of tests, technologies, and system architectures, and write professional reports for senior civilian and military personnel. Support testing of C2BMC early developmental releases to reduce overall risk. Review and contribute to test architectures for sensors (radar), OPIR, flight and ground tests, and C2BMC requirements V&V efforts. Define new M&S requirements required to represent new threats and missile defense system capabilities. Support C2BMC and missile defense system Validation & Verification (V&V) efforts. Support V&V of systems, review V&V objective evidence including tool compliance and acceptance. Review requirements, plans, and results with a focus on global C2BMC, sensors, and OPIR. Interface with MDA and C2BMC Engineering directorates regarding global C2BMC, sensor, and OPIR requirements and performance. Support development of system assessment plans and review assessment results including Global C2BMC performance and algorithm assessment. Monitor and support flight and ground test planning events, system pre-mission testing events, analysis observations, and provide reports to leadership. Reduce overall risk to the government and C2BMC program (cost, time, and performance) Provide the government lead viable options to improve and evolve the C2BMC system, its requirements, interoperability, and architecture. Represent the interests of the government customer in working group forums and in various meetings. Qualifications
Active DOD Secret, TS preferred MS Degree in related field 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects Working knowledge of missile defense, space systems, and sensors (radar & OPIR) Ability to write professional and precise technical documents for senior military and government leadership Ability to interact, communicate in a professional manner, and directly support senior military and government leadership Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment Ability to solve complex problems and track detailed information Work within a collaborative environment composed of government, military, and other contractor personnel Desired Experience: Familiarity with C2BMC capabilities and algorithms Understanding of the missile defense system and current/future missile threats Experience with the MDA, missile defense and space systems, and C2BMC preferred #LI-AS1
