To that end, and as a leader within the Spring by Citi Sales team, you will partner with our enterprise clients to understand their complex needs, design solutions that deliver on their key objectives, and become a trusted advisor for Citi’s globally diverse institutional client base. You will collaborate across the global organization to drive client consultations, win deals, bring solutions to life, and shape product strategy. Citi’s Payment Acceptance business, Spring by Citi, covers 25 markets globally and focuses on serving the world’s largest merchants, as well as growing eCommerce flows for other important relationships of the bank, across C2B and B2B flows. Spring covers a full suite of payment methods across the various markets, including card acquiring, local payment methods, direct debits and QR code instant payments. With Citi’s unprecedented access to institutional clients, the sales team is expanding its reach into payment teams, and progressing discussions with key buying centers. It is the role of the Solutions Architect to progress deals to win stage and to oversee successful implementations, by providing detailed solutioning for clients

Job Description
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
· Driving Citi’s position as advisor to key business and technical stakeholders through leading technical discussions with prospective clients on end-to-end solutions
· Serving as Spring by Citi and merchant acquiring subject matter expert, supporting eCommerce deal teams to identify and win new complex opportunities, with active engagement from early-stage sales cycle
· Conducting business analysis and research on industry trends and key players in the eCommerce ecosystem to be able to win in a dynamic and highly competitive space
· Understanding a client’s technical challenges and designing creative approaches to simplify their access to Citi’s solutions, while assisting the customer in planning and executing on their transformation journey
· Providing technical advisory to existing clients in order to expand Citi’s footprint and wallet share in the merchant acquiring and payments acceptance space
· Incorporating technical solutioning into the client implementation process for seamless client onboarding
· Communicating client feedback to the Spring by Citi business team to shape product strategy and roadmap

Job Qualifications
Knowledge Experience
· Minimum 5 years' work experience in the payments/merchant acquiring industry, ideally with a strong understanding of consumer payments, payment gateway technology, APIs, card acquiring, eWallets, and the surrounding ecosystems
· Deep understanding of API architectures and software development/strategy. A background in writing code is a plus.
· Experience and understanding of merchants’ current and evolving consumer payment needs, particularly experience pitching to, and working with, consumer payments and eCommerce teams of global merchants
· Strong interpersonal skills, including presentation skills, with ability to design innovative and tailored solutions working across financial and commercial buying centers
· Appreciation of payments risk dynamics and the value of compliance risk management
· Proven track record of operating independently and taking initiative with internal and external audiences. Openness to change.
