Mission and Goals

Short-Term Goals:

Integrate into the Privacy product engineering team and familiarize yourself with ongoing projects and technologies.

Deliver high-quality features for the development of new product portfolios and SAAS applications.

Provide solutions to immediate challenges and contribute to technology evaluations for new development.

Long-Term Goals:

Drive the design and development of scalable and maintainable software solutions.

Innovate by adopting and applying emerging technologies such as AI/ML and big data.

Enhance our Privacy product offerings to ensure they align with Gen's vision of Digital Freedom.

Objectives

Design, develop, maintain, and implement software solutions using server-side technologies and open-source frameworks.

Independently identify and propose solutions to complex problems, delivering scalable and broader-impact results.

Develop highly complex components for both existing products and new offerings, ensuring faster turnaround of high-quality features.

Contribute to technology evaluations, selecting appropriate tools and frameworks for solution development.

Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, platforms, and applications.

Apply industry best practices and modern design patterns to all aspects of development.

Communicate effectively with QA, Support, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Meet tight deadlines while maintaining focus on quality and customer-centered solutions.

Competencies

Technical Skills:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent engineering qualification.

5+ years of software development experience, with expertise in consumer-based and backend applications.

3+ years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS and development using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and ReactJS.

Proficiency with no-SQL databases such as DynamoDB, DocumentDB, or MongoDB.

Experience with CI/CD tools and developing RESTful enterprise services.

Familiarity with unit testing and automation tools like Cucumber.

Additional Skills:

Exposure to software design frameworks and open-source technologies.

Product development experience in the Cybersecurity domain (preferred).

Knowledge of AI/ML and big data technologies (preferred).

Experience working in Agile environments (preferred).

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-focused mindset.

Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
