As a Systems Engineer at Lam, you'll design complex frameworks, systems, or products for our wafer fabrication equipment. You will define system specifications, requirements, parameters, and compatibility to integrate hardware, software, and firmware into a cohesive system. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses combined with your multi-layered technical expertise you help shape the next generation of Lam initiatives. What You'll Do
Definition of system requirements and designs including process modules and hardware subsystems. Examples are gas delivery systems, vacuum systems, and process chamber control elements and architecture. Generation of system architecture using functional and physical analysis. System documentation including P&IDs, IO maps, interlocks, and other schematics Developing technical processes for systems engineering including training. Technical coordinator between cross functional groups including Hardware, Software and Process Who We're Looking For
Minimum of 12 years of related experience in either systems engineering or in semiconductor or other industrial manufacturing equipment with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience. Having hands-on experience in systems engineering and driving projects starting from requirements management to designing system architecture, working with engineering teams to realize designs, testing and validation of industrial equipment. Strong teamwork and team leadership skills. Ability to assimilate and organize data from many different information sources. Strong sense of intellectual curiosity. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with conception and design process of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment Strong understanding of systems engineering of industrial equipment. Experience with semiconductor processing and thin film deposition. Comfortable with accessing 3D Cad models and 2D electrical and plumbing schematics. Experience with designing business processes and developing training for these processes. Experience with FMEA processes. Our Commitment

Salary CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $156 - $289K The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
