Position Overview:
Our client seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer 3 to join the DevSecOps team, playing a crucial role in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications for Eligibility Supporting Technology applications. This role includes environment triage support and on-call support to ensure the availability of development, testing, training, and production environments. The position operates with significant autonomy, requiring a proactive approach and independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop, monitor, and optimize batch jobs and operations. • Assess current technology and devise improvement plans. • Implement and enhance advanced CI/CD solutions; develop, code, test, build, install, configure, and maintain IT solutions. • Analyze processes and deployments, proposing improvements to streamline code deployment and reduce errors. • Utilize configuration management software to automate updates and fixes across production and non-production environments. • Document processes and procedures thoroughly. • Provide support for production and non-production activities and issue resolution. • Support release and sprint-related activities. • Develop enterprise-level solutions for automation and propose new solutions where necessary. • Develop and submit proposal plans for management approval.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements • 10+ years: Experience in full lifecycle automation of complex enterprise IT environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and CI/CD tools. Must support new environment setup or frequent modifications in IBM WebSphere, MQ, Oracle, AWS, and other platforms. • 10+ years: Proven ability to design and implement scalable, repeatable, and recoverable automation solutions. • 10+ years: Expertise with automation tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible Automation Platform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Liquibase, etc. • 8+ years: Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages like Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, Bash, or Perl. • 8+ years: Experience with container and container orchestration platforms (e.g., PODMAN, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher) and packaging tools like Helm Charts and Kustomize. • 8+ years: Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems. • 8+ years: Proven experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework for solution design and implementation. • 8+ years: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years: Development experience in Java technologies, including J2EE, Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, and frameworks like JavaServer Faces and Apache Struts. • 5+ years: Experience with WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, Java, SQL tools (PL/SQL Developer, SQL Plus), LDAP, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
