Senior Data Scientist with Spotify USA, Inc. at 4 World Trade Center, 150 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007*Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Spotify USA, Inc. office in New York, NY.Job Duties: Define metrics and develop dashboards focused on business insights that enable the teams to understand progress of the product area on key business metrics such as revenue, gross profit, adoption, engagement, and retention of our customers. Work closely with the data engineering team to build lasting solutions to our data modelling. Pipeline analysis-ready datasets to ensure long-term viability of our reporting and goal setting within the Marketplace organization. Present statistical and nonstatistical results, using charts, bullets, and graphs to stakeholders. Synthesize the analytical findings into actionable strategies that the business owners can execute on. Define, evaluate, dashboard and monitor key metrics to understand root causes of changes. Contribute to the development of the Product Insights function and the wider analytics community at Spotify. Mentor and coach other data scientists by setting up and driving a high-quality peer review practice within the team, including code and methodology review. Partner closely with the other data scientists and data engineers to help inform, build and test hypotheses to deliver actionable insights to fuel our business. Work closely with cross-functional teams of data scientists, researchers, product managers, engineers, designers, marketers, and others across the company who are passionate about Spotify’s marketplace. Utilize and contribute to the development of internal tools and methods by understanding the data science and business analysis needs at Spotify. Comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple offices and time zones. *Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Spotify USA, Inc. office in New York, NY.Position requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Operations Research, Information Technology, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related data science role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Operations Research, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related data science role. Must have three (3) years of experience (or 5 with Bachelor’s) with R, Python, or Scala; Experience with Tableau, ggplot, or matplotlib; Experience with big data; Experience with content recommendation systems; Experience managing data and performing analysis using SQL and BigQuery; Experience crafting clear and accurate data visualizations and deploying and maintaining data pipelines; Experience with machine learning for forecasting, clustering, classification (theory and implementation); Experience with Python ML packages such as Scikit-Learn, SciPy, TensorFlow, Pandas, or Seaborn; Experience with synthesizing analytical findings into actionable strategies using Google Sheets.Salary: $170,373 - $240,164/ yearQualified Applicants: Apply online at https://jobs.lever.co/spotify/d2d4dd70-9ea3-4bb3-9394-ffaa066a23c5
