In this role, you will help build global scale security solutions in the space of Anti Phishing/ Spam, Social Engineering Attack Prevention and more. Description
We are looking for strong programmers with expertise in building some of the largest and highly scaled applications in the world. This is a core engineering role that requires you to be hands-on in coding, building and tuning highly scalable, distributed services that handle large volumes of data. You will join a hands-on development team that fosters creativity and generates novel solutions to deliver engineering perfection. You will work with partners, project managers and cross-discipline teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
7+ years of technical experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and platforms.
Solid understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning (including LLMs) and Natural Language Processing.
Hands-on experience working (training, fine-tuning, optimizing, deploying) with ML models.
Good understanding of various distributed system concepts.
Knowledge in Relational and NoSQL Databases, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, and Microservices.

Experience developing AI/ML systems at scale in production or in high-impact research environments.
Experience with LLM training/fine-tuning.
Experience with vector stores, ranking and retrieval techniques is a plus.
Hands-on experience applying common machine learning optimization techniques, like quantization and distillation, to reduce the resource consumption and/or eliminate latency.
Dedicated and self-motivated.
Innovative, thinks out of the box, and have a strong drive for excellence.
Good interpersonal skills. Have good oral/written communication skills.
M.S or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
