Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a
Project Engineer I
with experience consistent, but not limited to:
Lead project teams in the performance of structural condition evaluation, load capacity rating, and conducting research on structural performance. Manage projects according to defined scope, schedule and fee. Develop and maintain client relationships. Independently prepare proposals, schedules and estimate budgets. Prepare reports with actionable conclusions and recommendations for infrastructure owners. Coordinate with the Bridge Design Group to develop the design of operations, preservation and retrofit of various transportation structures such as highway and railway bridges, overhead sign structures and others. Oversee the execution of quality assurance and quality control protocols Lead development of structural monitoring projects that includes bridge structural monitoring and building monitoring. Building monitoring is frequently in response to construction activity. Building monitoring includes vibration, noise, tilt, and deformation monitoring. Bridge structural monitoring is comprehensive and supports indefinite preservation of signature bridges. Conduct finite element analysis of complex bridges using CSI Bridge and other finite element modeling software for refined load rating. Assist with bridge design, bridge inspection and load rating tasks associated with transportation improvement projects, bridge replacement/rehabilitation projects, NBIS bridge safety inspections, locally administered transportation projects, highway, and bridges projects for a variety of clients. including PennDOT, SEPTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, MDOT SHA, MDTA and DCDOT, local municipalities and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Opportunity to work with challenging bridge projects using 3-D BIM (bridge information modeling) platforms. Required Attributes:
Experience with plan production and assembly. Demonstrated experience in finite element analysis using CSI Bridge, LUSAS, STAAD, SAP2000 or others modeling software; BrIM such as OpenBridge, MatLab, Python, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience. Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus Professional Engineer License 8 - 12 years experience Preferred Attributes:
Management experience a plus Excellent communication skills - both oral and written. Having the ability to work in a Team Environment is key.
