Position Summary

The Marketing Operations Manager is a dynamic self-starter focused on leading key functions within our marketing team, optimizing processes, and delivering data-driven strategies that support business growth at the Augustine Institute. This role will oversee marketing operations, campaign execution, and technology integration while managing a small team of specialists. In addition to project development and enabling task execution, this individual will work closely with the creative services, digital marketing, and product marketing team leads to ensure the marketing team is optimizing their resources. Experience with project management and marketing is a must. Your role will be a critical factor to enable the marketing team to execute campaigns for the Augustine Institute, FORMED, Amen, Word of Life, Catholic Market, and the Graduate School of Theology. The marketing team aims to reach Catholics with a captivating gospel message at the right time in their faith journey, and you will help them grow in their faith as they continue to engage with the Augustine Institute.

Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data within HubSpot, ensuring proper integration and optimal usage for marketing campaigns and customer engagement. Campaign Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive master calendar of marketing campaigns, ensuring that all efforts are executed on time and align with overall business objectives. Marketing Technology Leadership: Lead efforts in marketing automation, explore and develop new marketing channels, and oversee integrations to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness. Budget Oversight: Monitor the marketing budget closely, manage campaign burn rates, and calculate metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) to ensure fiscal responsibility. Performance Analytics: Perform regular performance checks on campaigns, analyze results, and prepare detailed reports that provide actionable insights for stakeholders. Process Optimization: Implement and enhance marketing processes using methodologies such as design thinking, Lean Six Sigma, and Scrum Agile while supporting annual planning and team meetings. Collaboration and Communication: Manage team communications via Slack and other channels, deliver marketing updates for the company newsletter, and deliver clear and concise presentations and reports to various stakeholders. Compliance and Governance: Ensure all marketing activities comply with GDPR, privacy regulations, and internal policies, maintaining the integrity of communication preferences and governance standards. Market Research and Insights: Conduct ongoing customer research, manage Net Promoter Score (NPS) initiatives, refine customer personas, and perform competitive analyses to inform marketing strategy. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of two marketing specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Certifications in Agile (ScrumMaster, CSM) preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Lean 6 Sigma Greenbelt or higher certification preferred.

Experience:

2+ years of project management experience, including managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams. 1+ years of team management experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team to success. Foundational experience using Agile methodologies to drive efficient project execution and continuous improvement. 2+ years of professional experience in a marketing role is preferred, with a solid understanding of marketing operations.

Technical Proficiency:

Experience using project management tools (Like ClickUp, Asana, or Monday.com). CRM expertise, particularly with platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Marketo, is preferred. Experience leading a marketing team in Design Thinking methodologies is a plus. Advanced proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for project planning, reporting, and communication.

Strong attention to detail, ensuring that marketing projects are executed flawlessly. Ability to think creatively and strategically to address challenges and optimize project outcomes.

Marketing Knowledge:

Strong understanding of marketing processes from campaign conception through execution and reporting. Familiarity with Design Thinking practices to foster innovation and problem-solving in marketing strategies. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on urgency and business needs.
