Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Charlotte, NC. Our client strives to connect their customers to superior communications and entertainment products with the highest quality service.
Summary:
DevOps Engineers are responsible for the production and ongoing maintenance of a website platform. They also manage cloud infrastructure and system administration and work with teams to identify and repair issues on an as-needed basis, so strong communication skills are important in this position. They are generally expected to work well under pressure with tight deadlines for certain tasks, and a proactive demeanor and friendly disposition are also helpful. DevOps engineers may work with junior and senior engineers, project managers, and executives, as well as administrative assistants, executive assistants, and a receptionist. Hours can be flexible, though they typically work during regular weekly business hours, and they are not usually responsible for customer/client interaction or supervising junior employees.

* 2-5 years of experience * Knowledge with AWS services and solutions, especially: EKS, VPC, EC2, S3, Aurora MySQL RDS, Route 53, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeCommit, ECR, AMI, IAM, CloudWatch, SSM * Proficient networking knowledge, to include such things as, but not limited to: Subnets, route tables, security groups, etc. * Experience installing and maintaining open source CI/CD tools, such as Nexus (by Sonatype) * Experience with security gap analysis and resolution * Proficient using such tools as AWS Inspector to analyze security issues, and then move forward to resolve these issues themselves and/or partner with other developers for resolution
