As a staff engineer in electrical system components, you will have the opportunity to support current key defense systems and develop next generation technologies! The Evendale Large Military Electrical Systems team is responsible for the design, support, and problem solving for electrical components and electrical systems for many legacy military applications. Additionally, the team is responsible for new design and technology upgrades as well as advanced technology demonstration and support. This team has the rare opportunity for exposure to the entire life cycle of military aviation products and requires the unique combination of technical expertise, influencing skills, and project management.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

As an electrical systems component owner, you will:

Take full ownership of a range of hardware as you develop expertise and sharpen critical engineering skills required to succeed in the industry.

Manage individual projects as part of cross-functional teams including creating and updating proposal documents, leading design reviews, and reviewing technical information

Usher critical technology through the full design process from concept to production

Verify and document that electrical components from supplier meet customer requirements for performance and integration

Take advantage of both breadth and depth of knowledge of an industry leader as you learn to implement aerospace standards and best practices.

Exercise troubleshooting skills as part of a multi-disciplined team to resolve real-time issues of fielded assets as they arise

Integrate complex sensing systems architecture into turbomachinery

Mentor and train less experienced engineers.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Disciplinary Engineering & Science
