Remote Security Systems Administrator

Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Security Systems Administrator to review and remediate ACAS scans and support general RMF activities. This position is fully remote with infrequent travel.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will function as part of the IT support team; managing multiple closed environments, ensuring patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIGing for their assigned programs. They will plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the program data, systems, and networks. They will ensure that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls. Troubleshoots technical security and network problems.
Collaborates with intrusion analysts to identify, report on, and coordinate remediation of cyberthreats to the client.
Leverages technical knowledge of computer systems and networks with cyber threat information to assess the client's security posture.
Researches hackers, hacker techniques, vulnerabilities, exploits, and provides detailed briefings and intelligence reports to leadership.
Conduct monthly vulnerability scans and assessments of servers, and address findings and mitigations.
Respond to assigned tasks, incidents, and service requests.
Perform system administration duties and function.
Provide technical support of Red Hat and Windows server systems, performing Tier II and Tier III administration, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis activities

Qualifications
High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
Clearance Required: Secret
*Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance
Required Skills and Experience
Must have or obtain IAT level II certification within 90 days of hire. (i.e., CompTIA Security+(CE))
Must have or obtain Computing Environment certification within 90 days of hire. (i.e., AWS, Linux, Windows)
Demonstrated experience and understanding of DOD Security, RMF, and/or NIST Policies
Preferred Skills and Experience
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams
Experience with virtual and/or cloud-based servers and applications
Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Experience working in an Agile environment
Certification(s) in relevant technologies
Top Secret Clearance

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
