Responsibilities Develop, maintain and enhance FalconX's proprietary credit management systems, infrastructure, data, and processes Architect and build scalable, robust, performant credit solutions for institutional clients and internal teams. Work with cross-functional teams (product, platform, frontend, data) to build end-to-end solutions driving the credit business. Experience with building transactional, performant systems at large scale, and ability to diagnose and prevent these problems. Write well tested readable code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. Work with junior team members to breakdown tasks, help in technical solutioning and unblock them when they are stuck. Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have particular impact across your team. Help to define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review. Job requirements
At Least 5 years of experience working in software development with minimum 2 years of working experience in Python or any other object oriented programming language. Domain knowledge in institutional financial services, lending and borrowing products. Familiarity with modern web technologies like AWS cloud, MySQL database, Redis caching, messaging tools like Kafka/SQS, Kubernetes etc and good understanding of trade-offs with one technology vs another. Have a good understanding of object oriented design patterns to make sure the codebase is maintainable and extensible. Have a good understanding of operating systems concepts like multi-threading, multi-processing Comfort working in a highly agile, intensively iterative software development process. Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions Demonstrated ability to onboard and integrate with an organization long-term. Bonus Criteria
Strong familiarity with credit: this includes, but is not limited to, customer-side credit lending and firm-side borrowing, margin lending, credit risk (loss probability and recoveries), balance sheet usage, and cash flow modeling Candidates with a strong computer science background. Bachelor's degree in computer science Experience with frontend technologies like react, javascript Experience working in an early stage product startups
Base pay for this role is expected to be between $156,000 - $224,500 USD for New York City and San Francisco Bay Area. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as location, skillset, experience, and qualifications.
