The Role
Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models, including large language models (LLMs), to enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
Apply advanced AI techniques, such as transfer learning, hyperparameter tuning, and feature engineering, particularly in the context of LLMs, to refine models.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to identify, gather, preprocess, and clean datasets for training and validation, ensuring data is suitable for LLM training.
Monitor model performance regularly, pinpointing areas for improvement and implementing updates as necessary, with a focus on optimizing LLMs for specific tasks.
Keep up with the latest AI/ML advancements, particularly in LLMs, integrating best practices into ongoing projects.
Work with cross-functional teams to embed AI models, including LLMs, into larger systems, ensuring smooth integration and scalability.
Document model development, results, and insights, including those specific to LLMs, to contribute to the team's knowledge base and best practices.
Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning in the field of AI and LLMs.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in AI/ML model development, showcasing expertise in model fine-tuning and optimization, especially with LLMs, through a portfolio of projects.
Proficient in Python with hands-on experience using AI/ML libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras, particularly with tools tailored for LLM development.
Skilled in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
Strong knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised learning, with a specific focus on LLM applications.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts, especially related to LLMs, to non-technical audiences.
