Job Description
Job Title: Structural Steel Erection Estimator
GPAC is representing
a leading firm specializing in structural steel construction. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects and are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Erection Estimator to join our team. The Structural Steel Erection Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for steel erection projects. This role requires a strong understanding of complex steel structures and the ability to analyze project specifications and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities: Review project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for steel erection projects, particularly those exceeding 1000 tons. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather relevant project information. Analyze and assess risks associated with project estimates. Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing. Participate in bid preparation and proposal submissions. Track and manage estimates throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in steel construction. Proven experience estimating complex steel structures (preferably exceeding 1000 tons). Strong understanding of steel construction methods and materials. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Benefits:
