Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to work on Xbox Game Streaming. The Xbox Platform team works with Azure and datacenter teams to ensure the health, compliance, and security of custom Xbox devices deployed in Azure datacenters.
The main function of this role is to run operations for the fleet of hardware. This includes work to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain specialized client/server applications, and provide major enhancement of existing systems. Success will depend on organization, clear communication, problem solving, technical excellence, and a drive for results.
Job Responsibilities: • Analyze hardware failures and coordinate repairs with datacenter technicians • Document issues and resolutions to improve trouble shooting guides • Contribute to tools and automations for scaling and auto-resolving common issues • Track and report compliance requirements, such as sensitive data sharing • Work with engineering teams in Xbox to communicate issues and resolve bugs • Create detailed work schedules for long running execution plans • Fine-tune and improve a variety of software projects • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications • Implement system software and customize to client requirements • Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required • 2-4 years experience required • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design • large systems software design and development experience • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems • experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
