JOB SUMMARY:

The Software Solution Architect is responsible for designing comprehensive software solutions that align with business objectives, technological requirements, and industry and security best practices. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, including clients, development teams, and other architects, to ensure that the software architecture is robust, scalable, and meets performance standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Solution Design:

Develop high-level architecture and design for software solutions based on business requirements. Define and document technical specifications, including data models, integration points, and technology stack. Ensure architectural designs adhere to company standards, security protocols, and best practices.

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Lead architectural reviews and design discussions to ensure alignment with project goals and technical constraints. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks that enhance solution effectiveness and efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and clients to gather and understand requirements. Translate business needs into technical solutions, addressing functional and non-functional requirements. Communicate architectural concepts and design decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain architectural diagrams, documentation, and other artifacts. Prepare and present architectural designs and plans to senior management and stakeholders. Document design decisions, rationale, and any potential risks associated with the architecture.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that solutions are designed with scalability, performance, and security in mind. Conduct regular reviews and audits of architectural solutions to identify and address potential issues. Collaborate with QA teams to define testing strategies and validate that the architecture meets quality standards.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose enhancements to existing solutions. Participate in post-implementation reviews and incorporate feedback into future architectural designs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus. Experience:

Proven experience (typically 5-10 years) in software development, with a strong background in architecture and design. Technical Skills:

Expertise in various programming languages, software development methodologies, and design patterns. Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with microservices, APIs, and distributed systems. Analytical Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of software architecture principles. Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Leadership Skills:

Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior developers, and influence project outcomes. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
