What You’ll Do As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will play a key role in aligning HR initiatives with the company’s strategic goals. You will work closely with business leaders to manage HR operations, payroll, employee relations, and employee engagement at the Los Angeles distribution site, and eventually extend your support to other entities. This position requires a proactive approach to performance management and HR policy implementation, ensuring compliance with both California state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will help lead corporate-level HR projects to drive organizational development and improvement, run payroll, and manage the HRIS system to maintain accurate employee data and streamline HR processes.
Key Areas of Responsibilities: Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits Administration:
Manage payroll, HRIS, and benefits administration by running bi-weekly payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee pay. Oversee the HRIS system to maintain accurate employee records, track HR metrics, and streamline HR processes. Administer employee benefits programs, including handling enrollment, processing changes, and effectively communicating benefits options to employees. Employee Relations & Engagement : Manage employee relations by conducting investigations, addressing issues, and handling disciplinary actions and grievance procedures. Act as a trusted HR advisor, providing guidance and solutions for complex employee relations matters. Promote a positive workplace culture by driving employee engagement initiatives and supporting employee development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Talent Acquisition & Integration: Manage the talent acquisition processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new hires at NA Trading. Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by maintaining clear communication, providing timely feedback, and facilitating smooth transitions from candidate to employee. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs and develop strategies to attract and retain top talent. HR & Organizational Compliance:
Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they align with the latest changes in employment law and industry standards. Consult with an employment attorney on matters to ensure compliance and address complex legal issues. Strategic HR:
Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide targeted HR support to help achieve these goals. Lead and participate in corporate-level HR projects aimed at enhancing HR processes, driving organizational development, and improving overall company performance. Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred. 3-5 years of full-cycle HR experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices. Strong knowledge of California HR legal and regulatory requirements. Experience in developing and implementing effective HR strategies and programs. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and employees. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Experience leading or participating in corporate-level HR projects.
Salary $85,000 - $95,000
