The primary purpose of this position is to test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems and cyberspace capabilities, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities. Responsibilities Formulate long-range, emergency, and contingency logistics and mission plans. Perform duties as logistics planner in the Deployment Control Center (DCC)/Eglin Readiness Center (ERC). Provide technical guidance on logistics matters to other units both within and outside the squadron. Conduct war and emergency planning and monitors related training, tests, and exercises. Develop, coordinate, control, and monitor Base Support Plan I and 2 and the Base Deployment Plan Part 1 through 4. This includes operations, logistics, mobilization. deployment, employment, sustainment, redeployment, and unit beddown planning. Integrates annexes and submissions from subordinate units into comprehensive, clearly stated plans for projected mission, reconciling, compiling and correlating differences in approaches and identifying to wing's capability, shortfalls, and limitations. Serve as AAC War Readiness Material (WRM) Manager. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions, SPECIALIZED or GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized or general experience is experience that is described as experience demonstrating the ability to 1) direct, execute, and report on overall accomplishments of deployment operations. 2) Document, coordinate with Load Planners for pre-load plans for deploying aircraft, direct the activities of the Deployment Control Center, Group Control Centers, Unit Control Centers, Personnel Deployment Unit, Cargo Deployment Unit, Deployment Vehicle Ops, and Mobility Bag and Weapons Section, by publishing the Schedule of Events during deployments. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: I have successfully completed education 4-years above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education has been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: I have equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience that may be used to meet total experience requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge and skill in the application of DoD, Joint and AF logistics planning principles, concepts, and directives as they pertain to deployment operations, war reserve materiel, base reception, and support agreements. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to plan, organize, and direct. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge and skill to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, devise solutions to problems and identify changes and trends. Knowledge of organizational structure and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
