About the team + role
Robinhood stands at the crossroads of data-driven insights and technological innovation. As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with application teams and AI practitioners to rapidly build, deploy, and iterate high-quality AI solutions at scale, ensuring both reliability and effectiveness. Your deep expertise in the machine learning model development cycle, along with a strong understanding of data pipelines, will be crucial in crafting a dependable and scalable infrastructure for all of Robinhood to rely on.
We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious individual to accelerate the development and expansion of AI-powered products. In this role, you will work closely with our applied machine learning, agentic AI, and data science teams to drive Robinhood's progress. You'll also play a key role in developing a centralized AI platform that supports agentic workflows and machine learning applications, ensuring seamless integration with Robinhood's existing systems. A strong grasp of AI and data infrastructure is essential, as you will provide strategic guidance to our partners in building their applications.

What you'll do Own and implement high-impact projects for our centralized AI platform with meticulous planning, ensuring quality work within remarkable timeframes Demonstrate technical leadership by providing guidance and expertise in agentic AI workflows, machine learning model development and data pipelines Engage with technical leaders to refine and elevate Robinhood's AI development process through platform initiatives Drive the development to deployment of cross functional AI products with exemplary system design skills and coding, ensuring technical excellence Simplify access to data needed to power AI applications, while ensuring security and governance What you bring 5+ years of hands-on involvement in top-tier ML platform, ML Ops, or ML infrastructure or data projects. A fervent interest in exploring and applying AI and ML technologies. Strive to solve sophisticated engineering problems that drive business objectives. Solid technical foundation enabling active contribution to the design and execution of projects and ideas. Practical experience with ML platform services likefeature/embedding store, distributed training platform, and real-time inferencing service. Strong communication skills and ability to write detailed technical specifications Proficiency in Python and/or Golang Experience with AWS Platform and databases, Spark, Ray, Kafka, and Flink is also desirable. Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood's equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
