Position: Control Systems Engineer
Location: Gonzales, LA
Pay Range: $80,000-110,000 per year
Position Summary: Our client, a leader in Automation Systems Integration, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be part of the integration team supporting programming, commissioning, and start up. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLC, DCS, and HMI configuration, development, implementation, and commissioning.

Position Summary: Our client, a leader in Automation Systems Integration, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be part of the integration team supporting programming, commissioning, and start up. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLC, DCS, and HMI configuration, development, implementation, and commissioning.
What's the Job?
- Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
- Performing specialized technical work involving the development of systems engineering, distributive, and/or computer controls of processes.
- Establishing basic design and specifications for control systems and associated instrumentation.
- Developing new control concepts as required.
- Keeping the Project Manager informed of scope changes and contract deviations; submitting trend reports for change orders.
- Managing all control system design work, including installation drawings and details, loop drawings, logic diagrams, and vendor drawings.
- 5+ years' experience in control systems engineering.
- B.S. in Engineering or a related technological field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- PLC programming experience (Triconex, HIMA, Honeywell SM, Allen Bradley preferred).
- HMI programming experience (Wonderware, PanelView, and RSView preferred).
- Familiarity with P&ID's, Logic Diagrams, Cause/Effect matrices, and Functional Narratives.
- Skills in test procedure development, cutovers/loop checks, startup assistance/troubleshooting, and operations/maintenance training.
