William Birchard Remodeling LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our team, specializing in high-quality residential remodeling projects. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be a key contributor, overseeing project sites, managing tasks, and guiding junior team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project sites, ensuring work progresses according to the schedule, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Plan daily tasks to meet project deadlines, manage material needs, and coordinate with the office on any project adjustments.
- Carry essential tools (vacuum, ladders, trash bags) in your vehicle for use on every project.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace at all times, ensuring daily cleanup and protection of client property, including setting up plastic walls and floor coverings.
- Monitor project completion each day, reporting progress with photos and notes to the Project Manager.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, addressing their concerns and keeping the office informed.
- Collaborate with and train helpers or apprentices, providing clear direction and guidance for each workday.
- Perform hands-on work alongside the crew, ensuring both rough and finish carpentry work meet our standards.
- Create and manage material lists, coordinating with suppliers and minimizing material runs.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in residential carpentry, including both rough and finish carpentry.
- Proven track record of leading on-site construction crews with a strong focus on detail and quality.
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential building codes, remodeling processes, and construction practices.
- Ability to interpret project plans and manage work from demolition to finish.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, insulation, and drywall is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds regularly.
- Own reliable transportation, truck, and carpentry tools.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Paid Time Off: Available after probationary period (holidays, vacation, and sick days)

- Uniform Provision: Safety gear and work shirts provided
- Full-Time: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with some flexibility depending on project needs. Overtime may be required based on workload.
- Primarily on-site at client residences within the designated area.
