We are seeking an experienced and passionate digital graphic designer to lead the creative design efforts for our golf news and lifestyle publication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design, managing creative assets across multiple platforms, and a deep interest or experience in golf. This role involves overseeing the design strategy for our website, YouTube channel, and social media accounts, while also contributing hands-on to the creative process.
As Brand Designer, you will work collaboratively to develop engaging visual content that resonates with our audience. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency in the brand's visual language, while also innovating and ensuring best practices across digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
The salary range for this position is between $90,000 - 110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

As Brand Designer, you will work collaboratively to develop engaging visual content that resonates with our audience. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency in the brand's visual language, while also innovating and ensuring best practices across digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all graphic design activities for the brand's digital properties, including the website, YouTube channel, and social media.
- Ensure the development and implementation of a consistent design language and strategy across all brand touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, and social media teams to deliver cohesive visual content aligned with the brand's voice.
- Create and manage design assets, including graphics, video thumbnails, banners, social media posts, and motion graphics.
- Participate actively in the hands-on design process, contributing to the creation of assets as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in digital design, including trends in web, video, and social media content.
- Ensure all design work aligns with the brand's overall strategy and objectives.
- Work within project timelines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilizing photo resourcing and design to establish the visual language of Skratch.com and its social platforms
- Daily design work for articles including news, features, interviews, and commerce-first editorial, for up to 12 individual stories per day + ongoing long term editorial projects.
- Creating captivating lead art-either through photography choice or digital design-for the aforementioned editorial, plus additional artwork, pullquotes, and dynamic elements of digital editorial that turn editorial into visual packages.
- Creation of design templates for use across Skratch social channels, and the channels of Skratch talent to create a synergistic environment on social through typography and design.
- Create logos, thumbnails, and branding for Skratch tentpoles, franchises, and series that are unique to each project, including YouTube series titles and graphics.
- Bring all of the aforementioned design elements to life with motion graphics and animation in a sophisticated way that fits Skratch's brand feel.
- Conduct photo research for stories and projects and provide editors with boards and options for populating editorial with art and photo.
- Develop brand identities for Skratch talent including fonts, overlays, title cards, banners, and other asset packs.
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within digital media or sports-related industries.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
- Experience designing for web, social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), and YouTube.
- Prior experience managing a creative team or junior designers.
- Hands-on experience with motion graphics design and the ability to guide others in this area.
- Interest in or experience with golf, either through recreational play or familiarity with the golf news cycle and sports marketing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A portfolio showcasing a range of digital design work, including web and social media assets.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere)
- Experience working within a golf or sports-focused brand.
- Familiarity with video production processes and working alongside video editors
- Self-starter with enthusiasm for innovative ideas and thinking outside the box.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment.
- Commitment to high-quality work product that meet brand and audience standards.
