IGS is currently recruiting for a remote

Network Administrator

to support our work with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. Candidate will work remotely daily and remotely access VA systems and therein use approved VA provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

Responsible for designing, analyzing, evaluating, configuring, troubleshooting, and implementing network solutions. Plan, support, and evaluate complex existing network systems and make recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels. Assess, validate, and optimize end-to-end systems infrastructure and architecture.? Maintain and manage security protocols and measures to protect the networks. Provide technical assistance in network planning, engineering and architecture. Provide and develop technical standards for interface applications; identify and evaluate new products; provide solutions for network problems. Responsible for network capacity planning. Use network management tools to discover, map and maintain the network. Responsible for network equipment OS and version upgrades. Responsible for conducting research of new technologies and implementation strategies. Monitor and maintain network interfaces to ensure its highest level of performance and makes modifications and enhancements as needed. Responsible for documenting procedures and keeping network diagrams and related material up to date. Handle escalated user problems, questions, and requests on network issues. Work with other groups within IS to resolve network related issues as needed. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or other technical related field. Minimum of 4-7 years of experience as Network Administrator. Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust security clearance. Experience with Network Engineering and Internetworking. Experience integrating Electronic Health Records.? Must have experience responding and resolving problems quickly.? Must have the skills to implement agency policy regarding computer access and implement firewalls.? Experience with enterprise network concepts (MPLS, prioritization, segmentation, load balancing, segmentation, continuity of operations DR/COOP). Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:

Experience in the VA or DoD. SME in Networks and internetworking or server, applications engineering.? Experience with scalability analysis and modeling.? Experience with system (end-to-end) performance assessment and optimization. Active VA Public Trust security clearance Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment. Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
