Capital Project Manager - Utilities - Pharma - Chicago
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Project Manager to oversee a significant capital project following the acquisition of a manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the expansion of our clients global parenteral product manufacturing network, supporting the company's commitment to delivering high-quality medicines to patients.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the full lifecycle management of a capital project at the acquired manufacturing facility Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and regulatory affairs to achieve project objectives. Oversee the selection and management of contractors and vendors involved in the project. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing capital projects in the life science industry, with a focus on pharmaceutical manufacturing. Experience in oil and gas or chemical industries may also be considered. Proven track record of successfully leading capital projects with budgets exceeding $50 million. Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading multidisciplinary project teams. Knowledge of FDA regulations and cGMP requirements preferred. PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
