JOB SUMMARY:
Disability Support Services -Student Worker - Law School Scribe
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Dean's Office and DSS are looking to hire a 2L or 3L student for approximately 10-15 hours per week at a rate of $18/hour to assist a student who is blind with the following tasks. Hours and scheduling will be determined between the selected candidate(s) and the student:
Help locating pin-cite page numbers before every writing assignment due date
Help completing Core Grammar exercises over the course of the semester
Help completing Interactive Citation Workstation exercises over the course of the semester
Help during some Lawyering classes when we do guided research in class if schedule permits - course is: M/W 1:30pm-3pm
Possibly help doing research on the Lexis and Westlaw platforms
Scribe duties during the Lawyering Final Exam if schedule permits - exam date 11/22/24.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Only Seton Hall Students registered for classes for 2024-2025 should apply. No prior experience necessary.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should be outgoing, friendly and polite.
