A large telecom company is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Marketing Sciences and Customer Lifecycle Team. This team sits within a Digital Marketing organization that supports small/medium/large business customers. This team focuses on ad-hoc data projects/requests to drive actionable insights and inform marketing strategies. Daily responsibilities will include utilizing SQL for coding, pulling large datasets from various sources including GCP and ensuring efficiency in the data retrieval processes. Additionally, engaging in ETL processes ensuring seamless data extraction, transfer, and loading. As the team moves toward Machine Learning models, expertise in Python will be used to manipulate and manage the data. Strong communication skills are essential for this role, especially when conveying complex data insights to stakeholders.

Relevant certifications in the field of analytics or data science. 5-7 years in marketing analytics or a similar field, preferably with a background in Marketing or Telecom

Proficiency with Python and AI/ML Concepts

Expertise in SQL: pulling data from multiple data sources and writing efficient queries from scratch in Teradata

Hands on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau

Proven experience with data mining, drawing inferences (e. g., identifying sales declines and seasonal patterns).

Prior experience with Alteryx
