Description
The Development Manager is responsible for activities to support the Haymarket Center Development Department specific to Individual Giving and the Annual Fund. This includes overseeing appeals, data management and analysis and stewardship.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Plan and execute the annual spring and year end direct mail appeals, serving as the lead writer, developing and segmenting mailing lists and coordinating with the external mail house. Identify stories and create content for bi-monthly impact email newsletter and annual report. Manage annual fund programs, including recurring donors, tribute donors, matching gifts, and new donors, creating strategy to expand and cultivate donors. Primary administrator of CRM database, including data entry, building queries and reports, developing online forms, and serving as the primary contact for the vendor. Facilitate quarterly reconciliation with Finance/Accounting. Manage acknowledgment process, including donation acknowledgements, memorial and tribute notifications, and annual statements. Assist with prospect research and develop donor profiles, as requested. Utilize data analysis to identify donor trends and segments in which to build strategies around, ie monthly giving, donor societies, etc. Generate creative ideas to help grow fundraising efforts. Coordinates and promotes in-kind giving opportunities and serves as a liaison for in-kind efforts, including drives and distribution of items. Collaborates with the Development team to support fundraising, special events and community outreaching, serving as a representative of Haymarket Center in the community. SKILLS
•Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
•Highly organized and ability to multitask and prioritize.
•Experience with donor database/CRM.
•Experience with data management and analysis.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Education & work Experiences will include
Bachelor's Degree (required) Minimum 3 years of nonprofit experience, preferably in development and data management.
