Summary: We are seeking an experienced and innovative VP of Product Management to lead our product development efforts and drive the growth of Amagi’s Broadcast solutions. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and executing our product strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of our customers in the broadcast and media industries. Core Responsibilities: Develop and execute the company's product strategy for Broadcast, Ground-to-Cloud Migration and Live solutions - aligned with the company's overall business strategy and goals Lead the product management team, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure the successful development and launch of new products and features, including: Cloud-based playout, production and master control solutions Cloud-based video processing and transcoding solutions Cloud-based content management and storage solutions Cloud-based monitoring and analytics solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure that products meet customer needs and are delivered on time and on budget Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in the broadcast and media industries Develop and manage product roadmaps, prioritizing features and initiatives based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals Work closely with customers to understand their needs and pain points, and develop solutions that meet those needs, including: TV networks and broadcasters Studios and production companies Content owners and distributors Develop and manage product requirements documents (PRDs) and product backlogs, ensuring that products are developed with a customer-centric approach Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales enablement materials, product demos, and sales training programs Develop and manage product launch plans, including marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and customer success initiatives Analyze product performance and customer feedback, making data-driven decisions to improve products and drive growth Develop and manage product budgets, ensuring that product development efforts are aligned with business goals and priorities People Management and Development Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance across the broadcast product portfolio. Develop and implement a strategic hiring plan to build a diverse and talented product management team that can support Amagi's growth across all product lines. Establish clear goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and career development paths for team members, aligning individual objectives with overall company goals. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and recognizing exceptional work. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the product management team, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional teamwork. Identify and facilitate relevant training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills in areas such as market analysis, content creation, presentation skills, and industry-specific knowledge. Collaborate with HR to develop and implement retention strategies for key talent within the product management team. Manage team workload and resource allocation effectively, ensuring balanced distribution of tasks and projects across team members. Lead by example in demonstrating Amagi's values and fostering a positive work environment that promotes creativity, accountability, and excellence. Facilitate regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to encourage idea sharing, problem-solving, and strategic thinking across all product verticals. Develop and maintain strong relationships with other department heads to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and alignment of product management efforts with overall business objectives. Implement and oversee a mentorship program within the product management team to support junior team members' growth and development. Requirements You will excel at this role, if you have: 10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on B2B software and technology products in the broadcast and media industries The ability to keep up with the pulse of industry trends and be able to discover what’s new, what competitors are doing, and which innovations are coming next Proven track record of success in developing and launching products that drive revenue growth and customer adoption in the broadcast and media industries Strong understanding of the broadcast and media industries, including the challenges and opportunities associated with Ground-to-Cloud Migration Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineering, product marketing, sales, and customer success teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Familiarity with agile development methodologies and Scrum frameworks Experience with product management tools and platforms, such as JIRA, Asana, or Trello Strong understanding of the competitive landscape in the broadcast and media industries Experience working with customers in the broadcast and media industries, including TV networks, studios, and production companies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package that includes an annual base salary and performance pay, as well as a comprehensive total rewards package.
