Position Summary:

The Application Developer II role is to support and maintain database driven web applications built using a combination of MS SQL, Custom Workflow engines, JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, CSS, and C#.

Job Description/ Essential Functions:

Codes and tests web applications as well as maintains, supports, and upgrades existing web applications. Develops and modifies applications in SQL, Custom workflow engine, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, C#, and .Net. Designs and enhances relational databases with a working knowledge of T-SQL, creating stored procedures, views, user defined functions, triggers, tables, etc. Development and/or support of service-oriented API's. Troubleshoots and researches to resolve bugs and failures. Adheres to our SDLC policies including the use of JIRA/Bitbucket. Creative problem-solving abilities needed in approaching developmental tasks. Works effectively with members from different departments and works very closely with the team to meet development deadlines. Ability to effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications and production-ready solutions. Occasional travel for training, meetings, or trade shows may be required. Available to work outside normal business hours for catastrophic events as it pertains to the business. Design and implement complex application changes spanning the entire development stack. Education:

College Degree in relevant field, technical certifications, or relevant experience 3+ Years MS SQL Server development with query optimization techniques 3+ Years TSQL/Stored Procedure Development 1+ Years SSRS / Power BI (or similar) report creation Familiarity with OOP programming methodologies. 3-5 Years Web Development (Java/JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, C#, .Net) preferred 3-5 Years Azure development is a plus Experience/ Skills:

Ability to work effectively in a team with little supervision and strong attention to detail. Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills Ability to successfully architect and develop projects of small and medium complexity Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance is a plus MS Office skills
