Company Description Our client is a vertically integrated, skincare brand with overseas headquarters. Known for their commitment to the environment and sustainability, they are leaders in their overseas home markets. Our client is re-entering the US market, focusing on expanding their presence, with a small but growing team (trade marketing, sales, customer service, and e-commerce). Objective of the Role The US Regional Sales Manager will lead the brand's strategic expansion in the US, with a primary focus on brick-and-mortar retail in small, upscale stores and further growth in e-commerce. This role involves rebuilding relationships with key US retailers and enhancing brand visibility while supporting a small, fully remote team. This role will also involve occasional collaboration with our client's overseas-based team for strategic discussions. Ideal Profile The ideal candidate has a robust background ideally in skincare (if not, then beauty in general or fragrances), with both strategic and tactical expertise in brand growth within competitive markets. They should bring a strong network within US retail, especially in beauty, skincare, and boutique store chains, and have a proven record in driving retail and e-commerce sales. Flexible with after-hours meetings to align with overseas-based teams, they should be based in California (preferably LA), New York, or Florida. Responsibilities Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement a sales strategy for the US market in line with our client's growth objectives, focusing on brick-and-mortar stores, spa partnerships, and online sales. Market Expansion: Identify and secure relationships with boutique retailers and upscale beauty chains, focusing on brand reintroduction and credibility rebuilding. Channel Management: Drive sell-in and sell-out performance through effective distribution strategies, managing relationships with existing spa partners and building new retail connections. Collaboration & Team Management: Work closely with our client's remote US team to synchronize efforts in trade marketing, business development, customer service, and digital marketing. Training & Development: Oversee training initiatives for sales partners, ensuring alignment with global brand standards and enhancing the client's brand point of difference. Requirements Experience: 8 years in a senior sales role, preferably within skincare or fragrance industries, with experience in strategic and tactical brand growth. Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the US beauty market, including brick-and-mortar and e-commerce. Skills: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to re-establish and nurture relationships with major US retailers. Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate after-hours meetings with overseas headquarters. Location: Based in CA (ideally LA), NY, or FL.
