Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications in the planning and execution of key department initiatives covering marketing, communications, public relations, branding, and events. Assist in the development and execution of a corporate content and communications calendar to support four business units. Serve as department copywriter for written materials, assuring all messaging is consistent, engaging, and aligns with our strategic priorities and brand. Support the content strategy and development of newsletters for each business unit. Build and maintain partnerships with executives and internal leads to manage all marketing and communications functions. Maintain key messages, FAQs and talking points for media briefings and conferences. Assist in developing and managing a social media calendar. Assist with public relations support as needed, including press release development and media briefings. Develop media briefing materials including background info and supporting materials. Manage all website copy and updates. Assist in the development of contributed content for trade publications and blog posts. Assist with product and corporate brand work, including product naming and logo development. Develop marketing and communications campaigns and collateral in collaboration with the marketing team. Stay informed of developments in the field of marketing and communications. Support travel or off-site work, as needed including conference support. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field. An active U.S. Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a Clearance. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them for various audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. Exceptional attention to detail with an organized approach to work. A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proven problem-solving skills with a positive approach to work. Knowledge of relevant business, marketing and communications systems and platforms. Excellent ability to execute initiatives with stakeholders across geographies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the space, aerospace, or government sectors. Strong technical acumen. Physical Requirements A qualified candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily.
