The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a key member of our leadership team responsible for overseeing daily operations and financial management of the business. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in both operational and financial management, capable of integrating these functions to support and drive the company's growth and success. The COO will manage all aspects of Finance, Legal, Information Systems, Security, Project Delivery, Sales Operations, Service Support and Contracting. As such, COO must be a proactive leader that can roll up their sleeves and manage multiple facets of the organization, from operations and finance to manufacturing and project delivery, all while fostering a collaborative and high-energy work environment in which our business. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, procedures and initiatives that align with the business's overall goals and objectives. Oversee daily operations across all departments, including finance, IT, legal, project management, security & compliance, sales operations, supply chain management and HR. Collaborate with department heads to set performance goals and monitor progress. Monitor and evaluate operational performance, implementing improvements as needed to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Identify and address operational challenges and opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards required to do business with the United States government. Responsible for the execution of critical certifications and processes required to secure a facilities clearance with the United States government. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Define and implement the critical tools and systems necessary for the business. Assess and mitigate operational risks including security, compliance, contracting and project execution to ensure business continuity and compliance. Develop and implement contingency plans and response strategies for potential operational disruptions. Financial Management: Develop and execute financial strategies to support the business's growth and profitability. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial performance metrics. Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial audits and compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager. Develop the overall business case for customer opportunities and new business growth area. Own the bid process, evaluating customer opportunity balanced by profitability, risk and ability to execute. Provide project level financial and accounting management. Leadership and Team Management: Act as a key advisor to the General Manager, providing strategic input and guidance on company direction and business decisions. Represent the business in external relations, including with investors, partners, and regulatory bodies. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Drive organizational change initiatives and manage cross-functional projects. Strong cross-functional business and financial acumen including an understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues. Proactive and passionate nature. Qualifications: At least 15 years' of proven experience as a COO / CFO or in a similar executive role, with a track record of managing complex operations and driving organizational growth. Solid knowledge of the communications and/or aerospace industries including deep understanding of United States Government market. Program management experience. Fundraising experience. International business experience. Prior United States Security Clearance a plus. Note: Due to the requirements of the National Security Agreement, only US Citizens are eligible for this position.
