This job is responsible for providing senior architectural leadership, direction, and governance for enGen. The scope of Enterprise Architecture includes: enterprise architecture strategy (leading teams and initiatives in driving consensus, setting direction, and finding synergies across our business units and corporate functions); technology innovation; complex solution architecture; maintaining in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and best-in-class industry business trends and practices. This job provides technical and thought leadership regarding technology recommendations for solutions of enterprise scope and complexity. This job defines and governs the integration of these processes within other IT and business processes. A combination of expert knowledge of multiple architecture areas as well as broad experience in several areas of architecture allows this position to take on a variety of roles including project leader, solution architect, application architect, client architect, data architect, and infrastructure architect. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Specify, define and design large or complex systems, solutions, networks, infrastructure elements, or processes. Govern appropriate design standards, methods, and tools and ensure that they are applied effectively. Review others’ system design to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. Define and govern policy for the selection of architecture components. Evaluate and perform impact analysis on major design options. Lead and facilitate the development of enterprise business solutions that combine knowledge of business strategies, processes and gaps, technological options, and process facilitation techniques. Lead/govern/drive consensus on enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases, and business innovation portfolio development. Ensure the resolution of a variety of architecture and business problems. Apply leadership principles and decision-making serving as a technical or business lead for highly complex project initiatives. Communicate effectively, demonstrating expertise in communicating technical concepts and solutions in business terms and values. Manage expectations of customers and management. Represent various architectural disciplines in customer reviews and planning, design and technical walkthroughs, and problem resolution and decision making. Interact with departments across the organization as necessary, including the development and interpretation of highly complex requirements for peers and other staff. Lead the identification and analysis of the enterprise business drivers and industry/market trends to derive the future state platform architecture in the context of business processes, applications, information, and technologies. Provide leadership and mentoring in their areas of expertise and architecture to peers, developers, management, and business users including technical expertise, coaching, and ad-hoc training. Prepare presentations on complex issues in the area of expertise targeted to intended audiences; Present to ensure alignment with strategic directions. Provide senior-level strategies for technology that align views across multiple business lines and capabilities. Demonstrate the ability to translate these strategies into actions using architectural industry disciplines and processes. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific technical aspects in multiple areas of expertise and provide recommendations to the client. The areas of expertise may be any aspect of information, technology, technique, method, process, or products. Review our production applications to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve the response time, availability, maintainability, and reliability of our solutions while reducing utilization/costs. Diagnosis of complex and high severity service outages. Support the development and implementation of an Application Portfolio Management (APM) strategy, including lifecycle management, portfolio analysis, and optimization. Other duties as assigned or requested. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Substitution 6 years of relevant, progressive experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Preferred 7 years of technical expertise in system software, application software, databases, etc. 7 years of experience in an Enterprise environment including a minimum of: 5 years as a technology lead with technical decision-making responsibilities and 5 years Application development or infrastructure services experience. 7 years of experience in the healthcare industry. 7 years of experience in IT solution delivery. 2 years of experience with modeling languages (e.g., C4, AchiMate, BPMN, DFD, UML). 2 years of experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA) modeling tools (e.g., BiZZdesign, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Planview EA). Experience integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and tools including familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Experience in providing consultative solution architecture and support services of Enterprise scope and depth. SKILLS In-depth knowledge of architectural modeling using ArchiMate in Bizzdesign. Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Broad IT platform and application expertise. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Solid understanding of architectural disciplines and industry standards, The Open Group Framework Architecture (TOGAF), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts, constructs, and terminology. Strong ability to engage senior business and IT leadership to understand the goals of the organization.
