Compensation Analyst & HRIS Administrator

Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the "Best Places to Work" in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking an Compensation Analyst & HRIS Administrator to join our Human Resources team at our corporate office in Novato.
The Compensation Analyst & Human Resource Information System Administrator (HRIS) will support and maintain the organizations HRIS payroll software applications and modules. The Compensation Analyst & Human Resource Information System Administrator is responsible for supporting the company's HR technology including system maintenance, project/process improvements and report writing including compensation and benefit data. The primary focus of this role is to continue to develop and refine our human resources software. This position is hands-on and requires strong knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, preferably the ADP Workforce Now platform. The Analyst will serve as a technical point of contact and the subject matter expert ensuring operational effectiveness, data integrity, testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.

Compensation Analyst

Human Resource Information System Administrator (HRIS)
will be responsible for the following:
Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users. Collaborates with the Director of Human Resources, HR Manager and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions. Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users. Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports. Compiles or assists with complex data reports, summaries, and logs for HR, Accounting & Finance, and Legal. Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external payroll software vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects. Prepare complete and accurate executive compensation analyses and recommendation summaries as requested Audit, analyze, and suggest ways to improve upon current compensation practices. Maintain automated salary management tools by performing periodic updates of Company information such as jobs, employees, salary structures/grades, etc. Work with regional HR team and/or Managers to create, revise, and maintain accurate job descriptions. Assist with executive compensation analysis, including benchmarking, peer and trend analysis, and monitoring employment agreement actions. Assist with long-term incentive analyses. Participate in the process for preparation of a Total Compensation Statement to ensure employees continually understand and value their compensation and benefits Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements. Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology. Analyze, report and maintain compensation and benefit data. Gather and analyze compensation data to perform analysis and support business needs. Participate in compensation surveys and provide analysis of competitive positioning. Contribute to the development of base salary, bonus, and equity programs. Contribute to the development of compensation policies and practices. Support the annual compensation process including Merit, Incentive, and equity reporting and analysis. Performs other duties as required. Skills and Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient at analyzing data, building reporting, and making recommendations based on data and trends. Understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or other related software. Advanced skills in Excel (index functions, array formulas, advanced formulas, etc.) and overall proficiency in MS Office suite, including Access Database or related. Exceptional time management skills. Three (3) to five (5) years HRIS experience with a public company or a company with over 400 employees. Prior Human Resources experience required. Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate plans and projects both to senior-level directors and more junior team members. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and technical support experience. Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with HR policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational goals. A strong background dealing with confidential information. Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product. ADP preferred. Excellent quantitative skills with the ability to balance with qualitative approach. A team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships. Demonstrates drive and desire with the ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment. Strong analytical and collaboration skills. Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Financial service experience preferred. Professional / Educational Requirements:
BA/BS degree or equivalent in HR, Finance, Business or related degree. Minimum of 3 years related experience in related field.
The hiring pay range for this position is $36.99 to $54.53. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
