This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, systems engineers, and responsible engineers, you will own, create, and deliver Systems Engineering and Systems Safety products for the Lunar Vehicles

Relocation provided Occasional travel up to 25% of the time 1st Shift: 8am - 5pm Interviews will include a technical assessment Work from work - not a remote or hybrid role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Hazard Reports, reliability analysis, and developing mitigation plans Support engineering teams in the identify areas of opportunity for design improvements, minimize risk to people and property, and increase the probability of mission success. Participate in gated reviews to communicate safety and reliability analyses. Apply a variety of technical principles and tools in Systems Engineering such as CONOPs development, requirements analysis, and interface definition. Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years related technical experience B.S. in Engineering or related technical subject area Experience performing system safety and/or reliability analyses on satellites or human-rated in space systems

Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) using PTC or Saphire, Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Common Cause Assessment (CCA), Human Error Analysis, Architecture Safety Assessment (ASA) Experience supporting development and close out of mitigation plans

Experience performing compliance assessments of system safety processes and products against external standards including Range Safety, NASA, FAA, MIL-STD-882, or ARP-46761 In depth understanding of fluids and mechanical engineering principles Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Proven ability to build processes necessary to get things done with minimal direction Proven ability to communicate component level through system level technical matter to teammates and management Some experience using systems engineering tools such as DOORs or Jama or Cameo Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills Experience assessing mission-specific risks as a result of the status of hazard controls Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with systems engineering principles, design, and testing of complex systems Experience with certification of human-rated space systems Experience with space vehicle design Experience with valves or mechanical components Experience with aerospace components Experience with CAD (Creo), Windchill PLM Experience with certification of human-rated space systems

Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $110,055.00-$154,077.00;WA applicants is $120,060.00-$168,084.00
