The Job
The Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for designing, implementation, configuration and maintenance for advanced analytics environments to solve stated business challenges facing the organization. Assist Data and Analytics leadership to develop strategies and to oversee architectural designs for implementation of Advanced Analytics, Big Data and Machine Learning.
You Will Machine Learning architecture, design, research, testing and evaluation of new technologies that improve and enhance enterprise analytics systems reliability, availability and serviceability. Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure that technology decisions related to advanced analytics align seamlessly with the overarching enterprise architecture framework. Establish and meticulously maintain analytic environments essential for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Science, Business Intelligence, and both structured and unstructured data. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies, products, and trends in advanced analytics solutions, fostering a keen awareness of the evolving landscape. Ensure alignment of data analytics solutions with business and IT goals/objectives, actively participating in the identification of advanced analytics solution options and features. Effectively communicate solution options to business owners and stakeholders, facilitating data analytics architecture reviews. Identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions for advanced analytics, maintaining a sharp focus on maintaining alignment. Sustain an in-depth awareness of existing technology assets related to data science and business intelligence, continuously evaluating their capabilities. Provide mentorship to team members, assisting in the development of technical skills related to data analysis and data science. Collaborate with data insight teams to establish development standards for coding, testing, and documentation. Engage stakeholders across the organization to architect solutions that leverage advanced analytics, big data, and machine learning effectively. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives, and rapidly changing priorities. Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals. Other duties as assigned. Your Qualifications
Preferred, but not required:Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information or equivalent work experience 7+ years of overall Machine Learning and Data Science field experience required. 3+ years of experience in machine learning solution architecture, building machine learning pipelines, standardizing and building enterprise level data analysis solutions in complex environment required. Hands-on experience with Modern Data Warehousing in the cloud, Snowflake, SnowSQL, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowpark, PySpark, Azure DevOps, Azure Fabric, Power BI, SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, Tableau, Alteryx, NLP, and Scikit-Learn (Classification, Clustering, Recommendation Systems) Programming experience with scripting languages such as Python/R and SQL is required. Expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and SQL optimization. Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, dbt) and building scalable data pipelines. Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Proficiency in Python, SnowSQL, and automation with Snowflake's API. Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS) and experience with machine learning integration (e.g., Snowpark, Azure Machine Learning, Snowflake Streamlit). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). Deep understanding of data science, machine learning, deep learning, advanced statistical techniques and concepts. Deep understanding of industry patterns for machine learning architecture and integration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in Deep Learning Libraries, such as tensorflow or pytorch is perferred. Health care industry experience is a big plus. What's in it for you?
