POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating the shipping, receiving, movement and storing of any and all materials necessary to meet the production requirements of the Company's sales demand. Additional duties will be assisting in the shipment and receipt of items by unloading and loading trucks, inspecting incoming/outgoing merchandise, matching purchase orders, and distributing and storing merchandise appropriately.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS High School diploma (or equivalent) One year of experience working in a warehouse capacity Forklift Certification or proven lift experience is preferred. Strong problem solving skills Intermediate computer skills with the ability to key in data, type, and operate a computer keyboard Work independently and ability to stay focused and on task Basic math skills in order to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Good reading comprehension skills in order to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle all material movement required to support all other departments in the attainment of their own functional goals Read work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins per predetermined sequence or standards Ensure Warehouse is clean, orderly, accessible, and safe at all times Mark materials "shipped" and "received" with the appropriate identifying information Responsible for proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials and for the distribution of goods received as assigned. Maintain all shipping/receiving paperwork Assist in counting of physical inventory, as needed Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope Contribute to and support the corporation's quality initiatives by encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation's quality improvement efforts Perform others duties and responsibilities, as assigned Understand, follow and promote all safety initiatives and directive WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places Exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and reach below and above the shoulders Occasional duties in an outside environment Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free warehouse environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, reach, and twist Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (anything above 70 lbs. will require team lift) Push/Pull up to 500 lbs.
