Cornerstone Defense is looking for a talented FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) design lead with industry experience in advanced signal processing techniques and/or Electronic Warfare techniques including Electronic Support and Electronic Attack. We design, develop, and test advanced electronic warfare and multi-function systems. This position would focus on the FPGA design and leading FPGA design teams in coding, simulation, synthesis, place and route, and verification testing aspects.
Job Responsibilities: • Expertise in simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE and/or Altera Quartus development tool sets. • Expertise in laboratory debug techniques using signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices. • Expertise with timing closure in large FPGAs. • Experience implementing Electronic Support or Attack signal processing. • Experience implementing complex Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms in FPGA devices.
Required Skills: • Bachelor's (Master's preferred) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering. • 5+ years FPGA design experience on Digital Signal Processing designs. • Experience with digital communications architectural design. • Expertise in either VHDL (preferred) or Verilog hardware development languages. • Experience implementing Electronic Warfare (EW) algorithms (either Electronic Sense (ES) or Electronic Attack (EA)) in FPGAs in systems with Electronically steered antennas. • Experience with systems in high doppler effects.
Desired Skills: • Simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE and/or Altera Quartus development tool sets. • Laboratory debug techniques using signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices. • Implementation of complex Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms in FPGA devices. • Experience with timing closure in large FPGAs. • Experience with signal detection and identification. • Implementation of signal processing techniques. • Generation of arbitrary waveform data files. • Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git/Clearcase. • Familiarity with C/C++/C# and Matlab/Simulink.
